iTheatrics offers a range of professional development programs built on the philosophy:
Give a person a fish and you feed that person for a day; teach a person to fish and you feed that person for a lifetime.
Originally developed in collaboration with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, iTheatrics’ workshops provide educators with the very best ways to put on a musical with young people. Our workshops have been embraced by thousands of teachers and administrators worldwide as the standard for musical theater education. Schools and communities can select from a variety of options ranging from one day programs for teachers and students to year-long residencies. Our turnkey Make A Musical initiative builds self-sustaining musical theater programs in schools nationwide through a series of highly effective onsite workshops with professional development teaching artists over the course of several months. As of 2014, Make A Musical has built nearly 200 new musical theater programs in schools nationwide, providing over 600 teachers with career-enhancing skills, and enriching the lives of over 120,000 students, with a 95% success rate.
